As part of their rebranding exercise, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) is committed to creating a crime free environment which assists towards economic growth.

The message came out at the closing ceremony of the rebranding refresher training programme held at Morris Depot in Harare.

ZRP is mandated to maintain law and order in the country and as part of efforts to improve its systems junior officers were trained on crime management skills and community policing initiatives.

Addressing the officers who had completed the rebranding refresher training programme, the Commissioner General of Police Godwin Matanga urged officers to use the acquired knowledge to create a crime free environment in the country.

Commissioner General Matanga also urged trained officers to exhibit professionalism, integrity, impartiality, loyalty and dedication to duty.

The training programme is part of the ZRP rebranding exercise.
