shakira.jpgColombian music diva, Shakira, has described Zimbabwe as a warm and hospitable country with good people and amazing natural resources.


Shakira, whose full name is Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll, made the remarks soon after visiting one of Zimbabwe’s game reserve, Sindita Pamushana in Chiredzi.


Shakira said she was fascinated by seeing a lot of animals and beautiful landscapping, adding that she has considered her invitation by the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA), to come and perform a live show in the country.


 However, she indicated that she will communicate with the ZTA on the modalities of the show.


Shakira touched down at Buffalo Range Airport in Chiredzi aboard a chartered flight on a private visit on Sunday, July 4.


Born in Colombia on 2 February in 1977, Shakira became popular with her hit song ‘Hips don’t lie’, which she did in collaboration with a Haitian musician, Wycliff Jean in 2006.
