zimbabwe staff college.jpgSADC military commanders and representatives from the Chinesse army yesterday took time off from military activities to commemorate cultural diversity at the Zimbabwe Staff College in Harare.



Drama, traditional music and dances illuminated the day which saw civilians and military officers mixing and mingling and sharing cultural ideas.

Guest of Honour, Major General Trust Mugoba, chronicled how former colonisers had eroded people’s cultural values.

The Defence Forces also displayed various cultural products which include traditional medicine and food at their stands after which they won awards.

Representatives from the winning forces narrated the relationship between the military and culture.

The Zimbabwe Staff College Culture Day is an annual event and this year the commemorations were held under the theme ‘Promotion of Regional Security and Unity Through Cultural Diversity.’
