leo mugabe.jpgA high powered business delegation is expected to travel to Ghana for a business forum with the major aim of exploring possible areas of co-operation with their counterparts.

The business delegation which comprises experts from the financial services sector, tourism, agriculture, officials from various government ministries, the Zimbabwe investment authority as well as women in business will leave for Ghana this Saturday for the high profile Zimbabwe-Ghana business forum.

Chairman of the Integrated Engineering Group Cde, Leo Mugabe said the forum presents opportunities for the local business people to enter into smart partnerships with their Ghanaian counterparts.

“The business forum which will be held in Ghana will provide us with an opportunity to clinch and seal business deals with our counterparts., As you know Ghana ;s economy is growing and we want only one percent of that which is much considering that we are coming out of an economic decline,”said Cde Mugabe.


Cde Mugabe said they hope to get a share of Ghana’s imports bill which is   forecast to be around US$17 billion to US$18 billion this year.


The Zimbabwe-Ghana Business Forum and Exhibition, runs from May 31 to June 6 at Accra International Conference Centre.
The forum has a business exhibition, a cultural day and a golf tournament where business executives can discuss business deals.


So far over 50 Zimbabwean companies have confirmed participation at the forum.
