The First Lady, Amai Auxilia Mnangagwa says it is everyone’s duty to ensure the upliftment of women, youths and the girl child.

She said this after attending a series of meetings on health, maternal and childcare and on cancer and HIV organised by African First Ladies on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

The First Lady, who is also a health ambassador, is involved in various social issues to improve the lives of marginalised communities, the girl shild, women empowerment and health.

Through her charitable organisation, Angel of Hope Foundation, Amai Mnangagwa has been spearheading cancer awareness through cancer screening outreach programme.

On the sidelines of the General Assembly in New York, the First Lady had an opportunity to share with other members of the Organisation of African First Ladies on HIV and AIDS, early marriages and the girls child and the one on fistula problems.

Amai Mnangagwa, a hard working servant of the people, has been to some very remote parts of Zimbabwe, reaching out to examine the needs of women and children in those remote communities and giving a helping hand.
