The issue of passports for United Kingdom-based Warriors duo, Adam Chicksen and Macauley Bonne remains a thorn in the flesh following the prolonged release of their travel documents by the Registrar’s office.
The release of their passports remains a topical issue in the football circles as the important documents which were scheduled to be released this week, are still yet to be released.
Bonne and Chicksen are expected to be part of the squad playing for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations ties against Botswana on the 15th of this month at the National Sports Stadium and away to Zambia on the 19th.
ZBC News Online had been informed that the duo’s passports would be ready by Tuesday this week, but up until Thursday, there had been no joy and jubilation to talk of.
Warriors Team Manager, Wellington Mpandare, however, confirmed that all the paperwork was in place and the passports are expected to be ready this Friday.
“We are quite happy with the assistance we are getting from the passport office everything has been smooth from the onset and after processing all the required papers I am positive the travel documents will be in our hands tomorrow and the players will be eligible to play in our future assignments,” he said.
