trans operators2110.jpgThe transport situation has improved on Christmas day at Mbare Musika and other long distance traditional pick up points though the fares remained high.

Comparing with the last two days before Christmas, transport blues are visibly over at the country’s major termini though travellers still believe they are being overcharged by bus operators.

A survey carried out at various pick up points and the Mbare Musika termini, revealed that there has been less activity though a number of people insisted that they still owe their rural areas a visit despite being late.

“We are late for the Christmas holiday but we will definitely go home, we cannot celebrate it in Harare,” said one woman.

Mbare Musika termini and other pick up points out of Harare have been a hive of activity with days leading to the Christmas day with passengers forking out three fold the usual fare.
