first lady 31-07-10.jpgThe First Lady, Amai Grace Mugabe has described the late national heroine and symbol of self reliance Tete Sabina as an embodiment of love and unity within the family.


In an emotional address to mourners who converged at the Mugabe homestead in Kutama, Amai Mugabe said she had a very close relationship with the late Cde Sabina Mugabe whom she said was a mother figure and a symbol of unity and love within the family.


“Tete Sabina was a unifying force in the family who encouraged women to work hard and improve their lives,” said the first lady.


The First Lady added that the late heroin will be sadly missed for her role as a mentor not only for her family and children but to those she associated with.


Amai Mugabe also encouraged Tete Sabina’s children to emulate closely their mother’s moral values which promoted unity for the development of the family.


An active and vibrant member of Zanu PF and a symbol of self reliance, the life and career of Cde Sabina Mugabe was defined by her dedication to the service for the people of Zimbabwe.


Tete Sabina served in the Zanu PF Women’s League since the 1960s and remained committed to ensuring that women issues are well articulated.
