Local fashion entrepreneur Faith Taruvinga who is set to represent Zimbabwe at the Taormina International Fashion Show in Italy has vowed to raise the country’s flag high at the grand fashion gala to be held next week.
Taruvinga is the brains behind the Mimikay Collections.
Her collection range will be showcased on the runway at the world famous international festival scheduled to take place next week in Italy.
The collection will be a chance for Zimbabwe to showcase its fashion prowess competing with other renowned international brands and Taruvinga said she was excited to represent the country at a larger scale and vowed to raise the country’s flag high.
At the show, Taruvinga will again showcase the elephant dress that was designed by Thembelani Mubochwa in a bid to raise awareness on natural resource conservation.
Taruvinga who is not a designer but a fashion entrepreneur will join other world international fashion houses from America, Holland, Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, and Ghana among other countries.
