paurina mpariwa.jpgThe Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, Mrs Paurina Mpariwa, has expressed concern over the continued unruly behaviour at Tongogara Refugee Camp which has resulted in ethnic and tribal tensions among the refugees at the camp.

In her address at the World Refugee Commemorations at Tongogara Refugee Camp in Middle Sabi, Minister Mpariwa expressed disappointment over the tribal and ethnic divisions and urged those fueling them to stop it forth with.

She added that the government will not sit and watch such unruly behaviour as it destroys peace and order, thereby threatening other people’s rights and freedom.

More than 5 000 refugees from different nationalities are currently housed at the camp and government, through partnership with other organisations, has created educational, health and skills training facilities to empower the refugees.
