soccer fans.jpgOrganisers of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa are yet to identify the sporting facilities which will be used for the tournament.
South Africa Football Association (SAFA) Vice-President, Mandla Mazibuko said they want to stage the games in many of the newly-built World Cup stadiums.

Mazibuko also revealed that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and SAFA have agreed in principle that the Nations Cup is likely to be staged between 19 January and 10 February 2013.

SAFA have said that they will open bidding to all 2010 FIFA World Cup host cities to host matches during the tournament.

The 2013 AFCON was originally scheduled for Libya but an uprising against the government of Muammar Gaddafi meant that the staging of the 2013 tournament in that country would not be feasible hence the desision by CAF to move the tournament to South Africa.
