A meeting of liberation movements began yesterday in Dar-es- Salaam, Tanzania yesterday with a session incorporating Secretary Generals of the movements, in which Zimbabwe was represented by ZANU PFÂ Secretary for Administration Cde Didymus Mutasa.
Head of State and Government and Commander -in- Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces Cde Robert Mugabe is in Tanzania to attend the summit.
South African President Cde Jacob Zuma and the ANC Secretary General Gwede Mantashe are also attending the meeting together with other African leaders and officials from different liberation movements.
Other Former Liberation parties present at the summit are SWAPO of Namibia,MPLA of Angola,FRELIMO of Mozambique, CHAMA CHAMA PINDUZI of Tanzania and the ANC of South Africa. Plans for the summit began in October 2000 with the Sandton Seminar where all Southern Africa liberation movements were represented.
Meanwhile, a dinner was hosted by Tanzanian President, Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete last night, for President Mugabe.
The dinner was also attended by other Heads of State and Governments who are attending the forum.
