More than 200 people with disabilities and the elderly are benefiting from a massage centre in Chitungwiza, which was established by a Taiwanese national based in Zimbabwe.

Beneficiaries of the massage programme gave testimonies during the launch of a massage centre in Chitungwiza saying it will go a long way in dealing with issues of stroke and other ailments.

The sponsor of the programme and director of Tzu Chi Foundation, Mr Chin Chai Chu said he established the centre to help the vulnerable for free.

“We train the volunteers to massage these people for free and we look forward to see the programme spreading to other areas,” he said.

Seke South Constituency Ward 23 Councilor, Cde Betty Jason noted that the area has so many people living with disabilities and other ailments, hence the need to assist them.

Massage is a way of remedying body parts that are not functioning well.
