Mambo Dhuterere is currently the man of the moment in Zimbabwe after releasing his latest hot album ‘Dare Guru’ which has earned him five nominations for the Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa Invitational Concert and Awards (PERMICAN).
The nominees were announced this Monday.
Dhuterere who has taken the local music scene by storm with his latest offering is the most nominated artist at the awards.
He is nominated in five different categories, ahead of other renowned artists.
Dhuterere is nominated in the Best Writer, Best Traditional song, Best New Comer, Best Collaboration and Song of the year categories.

The Permican Gospel awards were last held in 2016 and will mark their return this year with the ceremony slated for the 29th of November at City Sports Centre in Harare. They will run under the theme ‘Creatively touching Souls’, the awards are aimed at motivating and promoting local gospel artists.

The last edition of the awards saw Janet Manyowa walking away with three gongs.

Other popular artists that walked away with awards in the previous ceremony include Joyce Simeti, Charles and Oliver Charamba, Mathias Mhere, Mdiwa Mtandwa, Machanic Manyeruke, Prince Mafukidze, Minister Michael Mahendere and Josh Kays.
