South Africa’s Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader, Julius Malema was in the country this Monday to pay his last respects to the family of the late former President Robert Mugabe whom he described as a shining beacon on the African continent.

Mr Malema paid his condolences to the Mugabe family at the Blue Roof residence in Harare this Monday.

The South African opposition leader jetted into the country mid-morning and went straight to the former first family residence where he described the late former President as a true Pan-Africanist, who has left an indelible mark on African politics.

Mr Malema was accompanied by his party’s spokesperson, Mbuyiseni Ndlozi and other party officials who have since left the country.

The late founding father of Zimbabwe and former President will be buried at the National Heroes Acre at a date to be announced.
