gen mujuru.jpgFarm Workers at Ruzambo Farm have pledged to continue championing the late General Solomon Mujuru’s wishes to safeguard the objectives of the land reform programme.

The farm workers paid tribute to Vice President Joice Mujuru for her commitment and dedication which has seen them maintain high farming standards set by the late General.

Since the untimely departure of the late commander of commanders, Cde Rex Nhongo farming operations at the family’s Ruzambo Farm have not stopped in line with maintaining the general’s legacy of empowerment the nation through farming.

Senior farm labourers who worked under the guidance of the late General said the lesson left by Cde Mujuru has inspired them to remain focused even though farming activity is demanding.

Management at the farm commended Amai Mujuru for her commitment which has seen production at the farm increasing with workers welfare being well taken care of.

Fifty hectares of the farm are under an advanced tobacco crop ready for reaping and the maximum output of 3 500 kilogrammes per hectare is expected whilst 60 hectares is under maize production and between seven and ten tonnes per hectare is expected.
