Professor Lovemore Madhuku of the University of Zimbabwe law section said Justice Godfrey Guwa Chidyausiku belonged to a rare breed of lawyers who sort to incorporate the law bas it should be.

speaking soon after the burial of Justice Chidyausiku at the National Heroes Acre today, Professor Madhuku said there are two types of judges, the one who interprets the law a written and if it is to change, that type of judge will say it is the legislature’s business.

However, Justice Chidyausiku was that type of a lawyer and judge who will sort to use legal skills to interpret the law as was seen in the land question in Zimbabwe where he overturned previous laws of the white bench which sort to benefit the white interests.

Justice Chidyausiku was bold and courageous and intellectually gifted to interpret the law which gave fairness to the majority of Zimbabwe.
