Insiza legislator under proportional representation, Alice Zulu who died in Harare on Friday will be laid to rest in Filabusi this Tuesday.

The 63-year-old legislator who died at Park View Hospital in Harare where she was receiving treatment after succumbing to kidney failure on Friday was declared a liberation war heroine.

In an exclusive interview with Zbc NewsOnline, the Party‘s Provincial Chairman, Rabeleni Choene, praised the late legislator for having excelled in her representative and oversight roles.

Choene said the party will miss their comrade and friend’s sound contributions during meetings as she was development-oriented.

The same sentiments were echoed by Women’s League Provincial Chairlady, Rhona Moyo, who said the late cadre will be remembered for uplifting and empowering women in Insiza district.

She was born on the 5th of February 1956 in Wenlock communal area and later pursued her education at Sitezi primary and Mtshabezi mission in Gwanda .

Zulu held several posts in the party and at the time of her death she was a member of the National Consultative Assembly.

She is survived by two daughters and four grandchildren. Mourners are gathered at her rural home in Filabusi .
