Norton residents were this week beneficiaries of the presidential well-wishers inputs support scheme.

The recipients celebrated the initiative saying it will come a long way in supplementing national food reserves by enhancing food security within households.

After a tour of the constituency, Cde Chris Mutsvangwa said the support intervention will put to shame saboteurs who had an agenda to derail the success of the land reform programme by failing to unveil support for the agricultural sector.

The Presidential Well-wishers Input Support Scheme is a $26 million fund spearheaded by the Head of State and Government and Commander-in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, President Robert Mugabe to assist small to medium farmers in their agricultural initiatives.
