The Zimbabwe National Housing Co-operative Trust has stressed the need for people to acquire enough knowledge and skills in order for them to effectively administer housing co-operative programmes.

The call was made by the organisation’s president, Cde Justice Zvandasara at a workshop which was held in Harare to discuss various challenges facing cooperatives.
He stressed the need to educate members on coming up with effective co-operative programmes and structures.
Issues that were deliberated at the workshop include financial accounting, general management of cooperatives and infrastructure development.
The Zimbabwe National Housing Co-operative Movement is the amalgamation of 406 housing co-operatives in Zimbabwe which were formed after the year 2000.
