henerieta.jpgZimbabwe Football Association Chief Executive Officer Henrietta Rushwaya, who had been suspended over the week-end over allegations of sending a Warriors make-shift side to an unsanctioned trip to Malaysia, has been reinstated.

Announcing the ZIFA Chief Executive Officer’s reinstatement at a media conference at the football mother body’s Headquarters in Harare, ZIFA President Wellington Nyatanga said the suspension was unconstitutional as proper legal channels were not observed.

Responding to her reinstatement, Rushwaya said it is time for people to let bygones be bygones and start working in unison for the benefit of football.

Rushwaya had been suspended by the outgoing and incoming members of the ZIFA board at an emergency meeting convened in Masvingo on Saturday.

Allegations against Rushwaya are centered on an unsanctioned trip embarked on by a makeshift Warriors trip in December.

The Sports and Recreational Commission (SRC) requested for a written report from the ZIFA board as to why the trip went ahead without their approval.

The ZIFA board then passed on the blame to the Chief Executive Officer Rushwaya.
