Doctors without borders (MSF) and the Harare City Council have partnered to strengthen health service facilities for adolescents in Mbare by conducting health programmes such as cancer screening, as well as HIV testing and treatment.

Speaking on the sidelines of the health programme, MSF Adolescents Nurse, Fanuel Sifeku said the aim is to improve the health delivery system for people in Mbare and some other parts of the country.

Community Sister-in-Charge for Mbare Polyclinic, Priscilla Mkahanana said the adolescents programme is important because it helps prevent various diseases through educating the community.

The adolescents programme is expected to spread around the country to prevent various diseases.
