The Archdiocese of Harare held a fun and fitness day where 9 deaneries from around the country participated in various sporting codes.

Inner City dominated in soccer, South West of City took command of athletics at the event that also featured West Deanery, Marondera, Chivhu, Chitungwiza and outer city among others.

Competition was also held in volleyball, netball, soccer and tug of war.

Vicar general and spiritual director Father Kenedy Muguti said in accordance with the sports policy the church should not be left out as sport promotes health in the body spirit.

The games accommodated youths from the age of 14 to adults aged 75 years.

The games were also held as part of efforts to foster togetherness in the church.
