The government says it acknowledges the responsibility and influence of a free press in the modern society and urges the media to deliver on its mandate in accordance with the constitution of Zimbabwe.

This emerged during the launch of a local monthly Christian magazine, Zimgospel Masters in Harare.

The Christian monthly magazine aims at providing news on topical issues on Christian music, communities and current events.

The Deputy Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Cde Energy Mutodi applauded the magazine’s vision which is to be a game changer by coming up with inspiring and engaging issues to readers, says at the official opening of the magazine in the capital.

Publisher and owner of the Zimgospel Masters magazine, Mr Munei Nyoni said the publication has a vital role to play in uniting and developing the nation of Zimbabwe as well as promoting peace and love.

Musicians; Pastor Olivia and Charles Charamba were happy to be on the magazine front cover.

The monthly magazine will cover a wide range of events which include music, interviews and conferences as well as networking with other Christians.
