Primary school children in the Glenview/Mufakose district have held paralympic competitions in preparation for the provincial competitions to be held in the next two weeks.

It was a competitive atmosphere as athletes battled to outshine each other in the paralympic competitions held at Glen View 7 Primary School.

Some of the athletes who spoke to the ZBC News were hopeful that their district will make it at the provincial competitions to be held at a date still yet to be announced.

Glenview/Mufakose district schools inspector Mr Cloud Nyambuya says the paralympics are vital in the recently introduced new curriculum.

The athletes took part in relay, javelin and sack racing among other disciplines and the national competitions will be held in April in Bindura.
