United States Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton says Libya’s National Transition Council (NTC) should be given the country’s United Nations seat. Clinton also called for the responsible lifting of the United Nations imposed sanctions on Libya.
Countries notably Russia and China, have been slower in recognising the NTC as Libya’s government with Russia endorsing NTC yesterday.
Meanwhile, Clinton has called on Colonel Muammar Gaddafi and his entourage to surrender and pledged continued military support for the rebels.
