The England based duo of Macauley Bonne and Adam Chicksen are set to finally turn out for the Warriors after their passports were released today.

The wait is finally over for the Warriors players Macauley Bonne and Adam Chicksen, with the two now eligible to represent their country after the release of their passports by the Registrar’s office this Friday.

The passports were supposed to have been ready by Tuesday but the delay had almost cast a dark cloud and eroded the dreams of the England based duo to play for the Warriors.

After receiving the key documents, Warriors Team Manager, Wellington Mpandare was delighted, highlighting that the availability of the two will strengthen the squad.

“We are very happy with the development and now that the players are eligible to play for the Warriors, it gives the Warriors technical staff more options for selection going into the AFCON qualifiers next week. Unfortunately, Chicksen won’t be available this time since he has commitments with his club Bolton but in future assignments it will give coaches more options for selection,” he said.

With the Warriors set to host Botswana on the 15th of this month at the National Sports Stadium before traveling to Lusaka on the 19th for their back-to-back Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, the availability of Bonne and Chicksen is indeed a major boost for the national football team.
