Traditional dishes, music and dance characterised the 12th edition of the Zimbabwe Staff College Culture Day celebrations held in Harare.
More than seven countries participated at the event.
Speaking to the ZBC News, Brigadier General Josphat Kudumba, who is the Commandant Zimbabwe Staff College said cultural diversity is one of the major drivers of development, while Mt Pleasant National Assembly member, Cde Jason Pasadi said culture unites people and Africans are identified by their culture.
“Bridging the gap between cultures is necessary for the attainment of peace, stability and development,” said Brigadier General Kudumba.
Acceptance and recognition of cultural diversity through innovative use of media and information communication technologies (ICTs) have been identified as key to peace, respect and mutual understanding in various communities.
