Zanu PF Midlands Province campaign to retain the Chiwundura constituency is now in full swing with the provincial leadership confident of retaining the parliamentary seat.
The party leadership is throwing its full weight behind the party’s candidate for the constituency Cde Brown Ndlovu.
Thousands of Zanu PF supporters attended a campaign rally in Chaminuka district along Matopo road where legislator for Chirumhanzu Zibagwe constituency, Cde Auxillia Mnangagwa and Zanu PF national deputy secretary for administration, Cde July Moyo urged the electorate to vote for a tried and tested party that has a traceable record of empowering people.
Zanu PF aspiring candidate for Chiwundura constituency, Cde Ndlovu who expressed optimism that he will win the parliamentary seat promised development and to be accountable to the electorate.
The by election to select a new member of parliament for Chiwundura constituency will be held on the 15th of this month.
Candidates contesting in the by election are Takudzwa Kuzete – NCA, Brighton Mudzwiti – Free Zimbabwe Congress, Webster Zulu – Progressive Democrats of Zimbabwe and Zanu PF’s Cde Ndlovu.
The Chiwundura seat fell vacant following the death of Cde Kizito Chivamba in April this year.
