A state of-the-art informal traders’ market has been officially commissioned in Zvishavane.

The facility was officially commissioned by Midlands Minister of State Cde Owen Ncube.

The informal traders market built at a cost of US$160 00 will accommodate an estimated 350 vendors.

The Zvishavane Town Council says the market was built under its 100-day programme targets.

While lauding the project, Cde Ncube cautioned local authorities from merely chasing away vendors from undesignated sites without availing appropriate venues.

The Zvishavane Town Council has set targets to ensure all vendors are removed from all non-designated places.

The initiative is yielding fruit with vendors being relocated from different places around the city to the central market.
