vitaliszvinashe.jpgA remembrance service has been held to commemorate and celebrate the life and achievements of the late General Vitalis Musungwa Gava Zvinavashe who died last year.

The 10th of March, 2010, marks the first anniversary of the death of General Vitalis Musungwa Gava Zvinavashe, a man who made remarkable contributions not only to the political emancipation of Zimbabweans but also contributed to the country’s education sector. 


To commemorate this day school children and officials at the school which was founded by the late general, Tynwald Primary school held a remembrance ceremony to celebrate General Zvinavashe’s immense contribution to the education sector.


Headmaster at the primary school Mr. Sevias Mujere said the late General Zvinavashe played an important role in investing in the country’s education sector.

The late General’s sister Ms. Jenivar Zvinavashe said her brother left a legacy that will help improve the lives of children.

The late General Zvinavashe founded Tynwald Primary School an elite school which has an enrolment of 650 students while Tynwald Secondary School has students from form 1 to 6.
