zuuma-mugabe.jpgThe three the principlas in the Global Political Agreement ,Head of State and Government and Commander -in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence President Robert Mugabe,  Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai and Deputy Prime Minister Professor Arthur Mutambara have met the visiting South African President Jacob Zuma at his hotel in Harare on Wednesday.


Later, President Robert Mugabe, hosted a luncheon for the visiting South African leader and his delegation.

The luncheon was attended by several ministers from   the three political  parties  in the GPA  as  well  as diplomats .


The GPA negotiations will continue today (Thursday) after which President Zuma  will hold a news conference before leaving  for home.

President Zuma who is the SADC facilitator to the Global Political Agreement, arrived Tuesday and was met at the Harare International Airport by President Robert Mugabe, Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai and his two deputies and other senior government officials.


President Zuma is accompanied by his advisors. 


His visit comes two weeks after his trip to the United Kingdom where he called on the British government to remove all sanctions against Zimbabwe saying they are standing in the way of the inclusive government. 


He has also told the International Monetary Fund to resume lending to Zimbabwe following the restoration of the country’s voting rights.
