The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) is ready to grow the country’s tourism industry and gain the entire market share lost in the previous years.

The ZTA has partnered with the Kenyan Airways and they have managed to bring tour operators from Nigeria in order to visit the resort areas in the country.

Speaking to ZBC News after the tour, the ZTA chief operating officer Mr Givemore Chidzidzi said the visit by the Nigerians is a reflection that Zimbabwe is set to increase its tourism industry.

A member of the visiting contingent from Kenyan Airways Funmi Oyatogun promised to bring in more tourists and said the country has enough resources that can be eligible for it to lead in the eco-tourism destination in Africa.

The team visited the Matopo Hills and is also set to tour Victoria Falls, Hwange Safaris and other resort areas.
