Addressing officers at a belated Christmas party for Morris Depot Police Province, Commissioner General Augustine Chihuri said the organisation has managed to accomplish a number of programmes over the past years despite operating under harsh economic environment.

Last year, the ZRP managed to train more than 3 700 officers a development said to be in accordance with the force’s expansion drive of achieving 50 000 police officers before year 2020.

Commissioner Chihuri also took a swipe at some Zimbabweans whom he said are self-centered and lack vision by destroying future generations due to selfishness.

The belated Christmas party which saw some police officers being honored for outstanding performances was attended by senior officers and the business community.
