The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) in Mashonaland Central Province has called for peace in the remaining fortnight leading to the elections.

ZRP Mashonaland Central Acting Provincial Spokesperson Assistant Inspector Petros Masikati urged the local community to continue to be calm and peaceful to show the world the true image of Zimbabweans.

“So far people have been calm and we encourage them to continue like that as many people are watching Zimbabwe and we are also saying Zimbabwe is open for business,” he said.

Mashonaland Central has 18 constituencies and the police have recorded no incidences of political violence since the election campaign period commenced.
