The Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) says it values the relationship it has with traditional leaders.

This came out when the ZNA Artillery Brigade held a Traditional Leaders Day in Musana, Bindura.

The event was attended by over 30 chiefs and headmen drawn from across Mashonaland Central Province.

“The relationship between the military and traditional leaders dates back to time immemorial as the  two share one  similarity, that is working to ensure peace and tranquility prevail in the country ,” ZNA Chief of Staff: Quarter Master Staff, Major General Sibusiso Moyo.

Mashonaland Central Provincial Chiefs’ Council Chairman, Chief Clemence Nembire urged Zimbabweans to always to take pride in their own culture and heritage.

The annual Traditional Leaders’ Day is organised by the ZNA and provides an opportunity for the military to interact with traditional leaders.
