The Zimbabwe military’s top brass is satisfied that the organisation is meeting its training needs as highlighted by the discipline and well organised way the establishment’s rank and file executed Operation Restore Legacy, a top Zimbabwe National Army Commander has said.

Mid-last month, the country witnessed a historic moment when the Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF) moved in to restore normalcy through Operation Restore Legacy in a move that saw the introduction of a new administration under the stewardship of Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Speaking on the sidelines of a Christmas party for members of the ZNA Mzilikazi Barracks in Bulawayo this Wednesday, Commander 1 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier General Augustine Chipwere said the conduct of the members of the force during the operation is testament that their training targets are yielding desired results.

On the festive season, Brigadier General Chipwere urged members of the military establishment to remain responsible while emphasizing on the need for them to remain vigilant.

The Christmas party witnessed members of the force accompanied by their spouses getting down in celebration as they took stock of some of the achievements of this year with a view to map the way forward for a successful 2018.
