valeriosibanda.jpgBeneficiaries of the Zimbabwe National Army Widows and Orphans Benevolent Fund have hailed the force for its noble policy, which ensures that their welfare is taken care of.      

Speaking at the ZNA Charities Thanksgiving Dinner, one of the widows, Selina Chitima, whose husband died in 2008, commended the force for not neglecting them.

“I am grateful of the timely intervention from the army, which will go a long way in improving our livelihoods as widows and ophans.

ZNA Commander, Lieutenant General Philip Valerio Sibanda thanked the corporate world for its support to the force during challenging times of economic hardships.

“I want to express my sincere gratitude on behalf of the Army for the support from our friends through donations to the ZNA Charities Fund. They remained steadfast despite the challenging economic climate,’’ LG Sibanda said.

The colourful occasion was also attended by the Chairman of the ZNA Schools Trust Fund, Dr Sikhanyiso Ndlovu and captains of industry.

Proceeds from the Zimbabwe National Army Charities are donated to Army Widows and Orphans Fund, Tsanga Lodge Rehabilitation Centre, Army Schools Welfare Trust, Army Benevolent Fund and The Army Patients Fund.
