The 60th edition of the Zimbabwe international trade Fair (ZITF) roared to life with various exhibitors expressing confidence in the fair helping them reach their targets.

The fair has brought about a lot of excitement with exhibitors hopeful it will assist in building their brands as well as providing business opportunities while others spoke of the annual trade showcase as being important to the growth of business.

It has been an eventful day one of the ZITF with more expected in the coming days, chief among those being the International Business Conference set for Wednesday where a number of issues relating to the operation of businesses will be tabled.

Meanwhile, the trade fair has started on a high note for farmers who have benefitted from command agriculture, beginning to create market linkages meant to boost food production.

Farmers exhibiting under command agriculture have applauded agricultural reforms implemented by government, highlighting notable strides achieved since they were rolled out.

Speaking to ZBC News at the ongoing ZITF in Bulawayo, command agriculture brand Ambassador Nyaradzo Tongogara Hampill, said this year’s premier trade exhibition is expected to ignite and develop market linkages with seed, fertiliser and agro-chemical providers so as to stimulate economic growth.

The ongoing 60th edition of the ZITF is expected to unlock the country’s economic potential in global trade.

The fair that runs under the theme: “Propagating Industrial Growth through Trade and Investment”, will this year be officially opened by the Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni.
