The 58th edition of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) is gathering momentum as preparations are well under way with 90% of exhibition space already taken up.
ZITF Chairperson, Ms Ruth Ncube said bookings are still pouring in and a total of 14 countries have confirmed their participation at this year`s fair.
“We have also engaged stakeholders such as ZIMRA to ensure that clearances at the border are made easier for international exhibitors, while ZESA has also assured us of exemption from load shedding for the duration of the fair,” said Ms Ncube.
With regards to accommodation, Ms Ncube said they have acquired a stand on which they intend to build a hotel as all lodges and hotels in the city are now fully booked for the event.
The 5-day exhibition will include ZITF International Business Conference, the Charity Golf Challenge, the Manufacturers Forum, as well as sector specific expos such as Asambeni Africa Business Tourism Expo, Ultimate Home, Pakprint and Scholastica.
This year’s trade fair will run under the theme: ‘Harnessing Linkages for Industrial Development.’
