ZIMTRADE has been rated as the top scoring trade promotional organisation in Africa by a United Nations (UN) affiliated entity, the International Trade Centre (ITC).

The high rating by the ITC comes after ZIMTRADE went through the Assess, Measure and Improve Programme, devised to assist trade and investment support institutions.

Briefing stakeholders at the handover of an ISO certificate by the Standards Association of Zimbabwe (SAZ), ZIMTRADE CEO, Ms Stembile Pilime said her organisation has made tremendous achievements regarding the facilitation of exports continentally.

SAZ Director General, Dr Eve Gadzikwa commended the work being done by the trade promotion organisation, saying partnerships with global organisations has seen improved export receipts.

ZIMTRADE has partnered with Pum of Netherlands for technical expertise for local firms to improve horticultural production and so far more than 30 companies have benefitted under the programme which has resulted in a revival of the horticultural sector and increase in exports.
