The Zimbabwe Teachers Association (ZIMTA) has announced that the association is in the process of improving teachers’ welfare by engaging stakeholders to build affordable housing units for them.
This emerged at the association’s 38th Annual National Conference held in Harare this Wednesday (today).
In his keynote address, ZIMTA Chief Executive Officer, Mr Sifiso Ndlovu said teachers play a critical role in shaping the future of any nation, hence their living conditions need to be improved.
The Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Professor Paul Mavima echoed the same sentiments.
The mission of ZIMTA is to serve the socio-economic and professional needs of teachers, as well as advocating for quality education for all.
