Zanu PF and MDC supporters showed political maturity and tolerance when they held their political campaigns simultaneously in Chiredzi town this Friday (yesterday).
Zimbabwe’s political landscape has been transformed for the better as the two political parties’ supporters in Chiredzi campaigned in a peaceful manner.
Although the difference was in numbers with Zanu PF dominating, the two political parties’ coexisted as they solicited for votes.
Zanu PF candidate for Chiredzi West constituency Farai Msikavanhu urged his supporters to vote for the ruling party which he said is committed to development.
Simbarashe Baloyi who is running as an independent candidate after being defeated by Stanley Themba of MDC Alliance urged his supporters to vote for Nelson Chamisa insisting he has his blessings.
The peaceful campaigning environment showed that the people of Zimbabwe are rewriting their political history.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s administration is on record calling for peace to continue prevailing during and after the election period.
