beatrice nyamupinga cde ed.jpgZimbabweans have been called upon to assist the Joint Monitoring and Implementation Committee (JOMIC) in the fight against violence as peace can only be achieved if instituted first, at household level.

The call was made by Goromonzi West Member of Parliament, Cde Beatrice Nyamupinga at a village meeting in Munyawiri, Goromonzi West constituency.

Cde Beatrice Nyamupinga who was addressing villagers said the church and the community have a role in fostering peace and stability in where they live.

With indications that the general elections will be on this year the country has been experiencing spates of violence in some areas with the ZRP blaming mainly the MDC T for the violence.

In Harare, MDC-T youths attacked Zanu Pf mourners at Warren Hills Cemetery while in Bulawayo during the MDC-T     conference meeting supporters were at each others throats ahead of its congress.
