Assistant Regional Immigration Officer, Mr Charles Gwede said several strategies have been put in place to reduce congestion at the Beit Bridge border post, including increasing their personnel to ensure the effectiveness and smooth floor of traffic.

The post is also experiencing an increased number of people crossing into South Africa for their last minute shopping for Christmas.

Meanwhile, police have assured that they will be working with various stakeholders to reduce criminal activities at the border post.
