It was pomp and fanfare for Christians and non-Christians alike who converged at St Augustine’s Catholic Church in Hatcliffe, Harare for the belated International Day of Families commemorations.

Families as part of a larger society play a crucial role in upholding norms and values that help people live in harmony.

It was against this background that the Roman Catholic Church Hatcliffe Parish held a Families Day commemorations as a way of upholding family values.

Observed on the 15th of May every year, the International Day of Families focuses on Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16 relating to the promotion of peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development.
