The Zimbabwe women’s handball team today completed a 3 day camp aimed at assessing national team players before encounters against Zambia in December.

It may not be the most popular sport among women but handball is making strides with players from different provinces picked for a 3-day camp.

The women’s senior handball side had morning and afternoon training sessions at Chitungwiza Aquatic Complex under the watchful eye of head coach Cleopatra Mareverwa who said with continued support women’s handball can be a force to reckon with.

The Zimbabwe women’s handball side is expected to play Zambia in international friendly encounters in December as they seek for game time against other national sides.

Under 14 and 16 girls teams have been established with an under 20 team also in place as a feeder to the senior national team.
