zim-warriors.jpgThe Zimbabwe Warriors take on Malawi in an international friendly soccer match at Rufaro stadium tomorrow.

 

Zimbabwe football association programmers’ and competitions manager Jonathan Musavengana told ZBC News that the technical team chose the flames of Malawi ahead of such teams as Syria and Palestine.

 

Musavengana said 26 players have been called into camp with the majority   of them coming from the squad that lifted the COSAFA cup last year.

 

The players called into camp are Edmore Sibanda, Washington Arubi, Daniel Vheremu, George Karimupfumbi, Ndumiso Khanye, Method Mwanjali, Gilbert Mapemba, Norman Njelele, Zephaniah Ngodzo, Ashley Rambanepasi, Richard Mteki, Farai Vimisayi, Ramson Zhuwawo, Thabani Kamusoko, Tafadzwa Rusike, Nyasha Mushekwi, Tawanda Nyamandwe, Ali Sadiki, Alvis Meleka, Bhekimpilo Ncube, Cuthbert Malajila, Artwell Nyamiwa and Tafadzwa Dube.
                                                             
Musavengana also disclosed that captain Benjani Mwaruwari, Knowledge Musona and Ovidy Karuru are expected to join the 23 locally based players who started getting into camp yesterday morning.

 

The friendly match is being used to fine tune the Warriors ahead of the African Nations championship against Swaziland on the 14th of this month.
