The coming in of new entrants in the tourism and hospitality industry has been described as a positive development that will see the sector becoming more competitive regionally and generate more revenue in the near future.
According to Blessing Munyenyiwa, a tour operator, the development is a sign that investors have developed confidence in the country and this will raise standards in the sector forcing players to offer more competitive prices.
Another local operator, Clememce Mukwasi said the development will broaden the handling capacity for Victoria Falls, create employment opportunities and lift the standard of operation.
Mr Forward Mutero said the developments are a confirmation that tourism is on the recovery path and called on the sector to continue working on capacity building as tourist inflows will increase significantly.
The tourism sector has been showing signs of recovery with new hotels being constructed while existing ones have embarked on massive refurbishments of their structures.
