Zimbabwe will next month host a World Economic Congress (WEC) international summit and solutions exhibition aimed at providing investment opportunities for the country to global investors.

The WEC summit will be held when Zimbabwe is implementing the ease of doing business reforms to attract more regional, local and global investors.

WEC president Dr Alexander Chisango told the ZBC News, government officials, the business community, economic decision makers, the church, bankers and investors among others will attend the meeting.

“It is a big event and we hope for exciting developments,” he said.

There is need to ensure that resolutions arising from the summit are implemented to ensure success, said a businessman Mr Shepherd Kembo.

“What more can be derived if all can be done for the benefit of the economy,” said Mr Kembo.

The WEC summit which will be held from 7 to 9 November also seek to provide direct business input towards the establishment of an international reconstruction fund and opportunities for Africa.
